Marlin PD Officer Terminated
The Marlin Police Department shared a press release on October 28, announcing the termination of Officer Ketter following an internal affairs investigation.
Officer Ketter was arrested after a traffic stop in Bell County on October 23, 2025, and was suspended from Marlin PD with pay the following day so an investigation could be initiated.
The investigation determined that Ketter’s conduct during the incident did not meet the standards of professionalism and discipline required of a sworn police officer.
Police Chief James Hommel had the following to say: “The behavior displayed during this incident does not reflect the values, integrity or expectations of the Marlin Police Department. Our officers are held to the highest standards of professionalism, both on and off duty. Actions that compromise public trust and the reputation of this department will not be tolerated.”
