Marlin police officer injured in struggle with suspect

Falls County deputies responded to a call for assistance from Marlin PD in reference to a subject attempting to evade capture on foot on Tuesday night.

According to the Falls County Sheriff's Department Facebook page, deputies arrived and observed Charles Walker Jr. actively resisting MPD officers attempting to take him into custody. A deputy utilized his taser to help gain control over Walker to place him into custody. One MPD officer sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.

Walker was booked in on multiple felony warrants and an additional charge of felony evading due to previous evading convictions.
