Marlin Youth Athletic Commission Announces 2026 Return Expanded Programs and Renewed Commitment to Youth Development
The Marlin Youth Athletic Commission (MYAC) is proud to announce its official return for the 2026 season. After a year of restructuring and community planning, MYAC is launching a revitalized athletic program designed to provide high quality, affordable, and inclusive sports opportunities for youth across Marlin and surrounding communities. With an expanded slate of programs - including football, basketball, track & field, cheer, 7v7, and competitive cheer - MYAC is committed to fostering character, discipline, teamwork, and academic excellence. The organization’s mission centers on empowering young athletes, particularly those in underserved or disadvantaged communities, through structured sports development, mentorship, and community engagement.
“Our youth deserve opportunities that build confidence, leadership, and pride - both on and off the field. MYAC is back to make that happen.”
As part of its 2026 relaunch, MYAC is introducing: Enhanced safety and training
Certified coaching teams Parent engagement committees Academic support and character building initiatives Updated uniforms, branding, and program structure Clear codes of conduct for athletes, parents and coaches Registration for all sports opens this month, with practice and camp schedules to follow. MYAC invites parents, community leaders, and local businesses to partner in supporting youth athletics and building a stronger future for Marlin’s young athletes.
MYAC Program Director Dre Maxwell has been involved with the organization since it started in 1996. He is most excited about the opportunity to help Marlin youth excel not only in sports, but academically and in character as well. Be sure to watch the “Marlin Youth Athletic Commission” Facebook page for more details about registration and how to get involved in volunteering.
