Mineral well tested

In 1892 hot mineral waters were found when early residents of the town drilled a well in search for an additional water source. Marlin then quickly grew, developing a health industry around it. Mineral water was once a huge attraction, as well as other attractions, one being The Falls Hotel. Marlin was once named the “Official Hot Mineral Water City of Texas”. Although the mineral water is safe to drink, City Manager, Fletcher requested it be tested earlier this year to see what all has changed since the last report in 1994. The City reached out to Weisinger Incorporated to assist in the testing of the well. Tests were done using the existing outlets due to the plug not being able to be removed without possibly breakage of the PVC piping.
