Moorevile UMC Breaks ground
Mooreville United Methodist Church had a Groundbreaking Ceremony for their new sanctuary on Sunday, June 14. The church suffered badly from a fire in early 2019, where the sanctuary was completely lost.
The ceremony began with a greeting by Brad Brittain, along with an opening prayer. Bishop Mike Lowry read scriptures Psalms 128 (CEB) and Matthew 5:14-16, followed by a short message. Brad Brittain did the breaking of ground.
"To the glory of God, in the presence of this congregation, I now direct that ground be broken for the Mooreville UInited Methodist Church.
The responsibility and privilege rest upon us to cause a building to rise here that shall be the house of this people of God and a place devoted to the worship of almighty God to the glory of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ."
