Realignment Coming Up in Early 2026

The numbers (from each school district) have been released, and the cutoffs (per UIL) for each classification have been announced as it’s that time again for realignment coming up in early 2026. Now it’s time to compare the two to see who stays put, and who moves up or down.

For our Central Area teams, starting with Class 3A, Division I, the cutoff numbers are 549-367. Right now, it looks like Cameron Yoe (441), and Rockdale (423) are a safe bet to remain in that classification.

For Class 2A, Division I (245.9-175.6), Rosebud-Lott (232), Thorndale (222), and Marlin (212) are a safe stay in their current classification.

In Class 2A, DII (175.5105), Chilton (146), and Milano (121) are good to go for another realignment in the same classification.

Class 1A, Division I (104.9-57.6) – just in case you might be wondering.

Class 1A, DII (57.5 and below) Buckholts (29) will remain in the same classification.

Most teams could still face the same schools they did in district play from the 202426 realignment setup, but usually, UIL slips in a new one and bounces out an old one to another district far, far, and away (so it seems at times). You never know what or how they think when it comes to setting the districts. Of course, other sports will be aligned a little different than football. In all honesty, we won’t know about those until the official realignment is announced. Usually in late January, or sometime in February.
