Reese Tate, a senior at Robinson High School, was crowned Miss Central Texas 2025 during the annual Miss Central Texas Pageant held Saturday, July 26, at the Marlin High School Auditorium.
Tate, the daughter of Cacee and Adam Tate of Robinson and granddaughter of Byrleen and Rocky Terry, as well as Anita Tate and the late Tommy Tate, all of Marlin, represented McLennan County in the competition. She was awarded the prestigious title, a $1,500 college scholarship, a crown, sash, roses, and a prize package generously donated by local merchants.
Contestants from Bell, Falls, Limestone, McLennan, and Robertson counties vied for the title in an evening that celebrated poise, scholarship, and community spirit. The event was sponsored by the Alpha Kappa Sigma sorority and hosted by returning masters of ceremony Rissa Shaw and Wesley Walker.
In addition to the top title, scholarships of $1,000, $750, $500, and $250 were awarded to the first through fourth runners-up.
Special recognitions included the People’s Choice Award, which carried a $500 scholarship, as well as honors for Miss Congeniality, Most Photogenic, and Top 5 Finalists. All awards were made possible by the generous support of local businesses.
A highlight of the evening was the Princess Program, where young girls ages 5 to 9 were paired with contestants as part of a mentorship workshop earlier in the summer. Each princess joined her contestant onstage during the evening wear segment and participated in a group dance performance, offering a heartwarming display of encouragement and community connection.
The pageant combined elegance and entertainment while also spotlighting the importance of leadership and education among young women in Central Texas.
