Rotary and Rosondra Hartsfield, Falls County Extension Agent

Rotarian Jimi Lynn’s program featured Rosondra Hartsfield, Falls County Extension Agent, guest speaker at Rotary Club’s weekly noon meeting on February 21, 2024, at The Chicken Place, Marlin. 

Texas AgriLife Extension in Falls County reaches out to adults and youth, males and females of all ethnic backgrounds to help individuals and families improve their lives, properties, economic status, and self-sufficiency. By conducting seminars, workshops, demonstrations and camps, County Extension Agents such as Rosondra Hartsfield provide educational tools and information to the diverse peoples of Falls County to better manage their farms, ranches, businesses, health, animals, financial security and family relationships. Working through and with volunteers, Agents extend their knowledge and expertise into every corner and village in the county.

Most Extension programs are provided free of charge to groups who request a presentation or discussion covering a plethora of subjects. County Agents rely on the fact-based research of Texas A&M University and the participation of Extension experts based throughout the state. (Falls.agrilife.org)

Feb. 25, 2024, at 2 p.m. – Essential Estate Planning Seminar – Greater Jude Tabernacle, Bldg. 135 County Rd. 4002, Chilton, TX – email: greaterjude@outlook.com

Feb. 27, 2024 – Marlin Food Distribution – First Baptist Church Marlin. Volunteering arrived at 9 a.m. Distribution started at 11 a.m.

Upcoming events are:

Feb. 28, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Falls County Car Seat Checkup Event – Falls County AgriLife Extension Office, 1910 Industrial Park Road, Marlin, TX – email: rosondra.hartsfield@ag.tamu.edu phone: (254) 883-1413 Patent/Guardians bring children in present car or booster seat for child weight measurement and seat inspections. If deemed unsafe, a new car or booster seat will be made available.

Chilton ISD Food Pantry is the third Saturday of each month from 9-11 a.m.

March 2, 2024, starting at 9 a.m. – Coat Giveaway – Faith, Hope & Charity (old location), 524 Quaid St., Marlin – Parents must bring the children to get sized for the coats.

April 4, 2024 – 2nd Annual Mother Daughter Tea – Faith, Hope & Charity (new location), 405 1st St., Marlin, TX All ages welcome.

June 8, 2024 – Career Day – Faith, Hope & Charity (new location), 405 1st St., Marlin, TX

June 28, 2024 – Texas Mission of Mercy Dental Event Pre-Screenings – Falls Community Hospital & Clinic, 322 Coleman St., Marlin, TX, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Pre-screening required for participation in dental event on July 19-20, 2024.

July 19 & 20, 2024 – Texas Mission of Mercy Dental Event – Chilton ISD, 905 Durango Ave., Chilton, TX. 14+Dentist/Oral Surgeons and trained dental assistants will provide dental services.
