Shooting sends one to hospital

A man who was shot repeatedly at a home in Marlin was flown to a local hospital early Sunday. Falls County Sheriff ’s deputies responded to a report of the shooting at around 1:15 a.m. Sunday, May 3, at the home in south Marlin. The man, who’s in his mid20s, was taken by ambulance to Falls Community Hospital and was later flown to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.

According to Marlin Police Chief, Lawrence McCall, the suspect was caught during the evening hours of May 4.

"I want to commend the McLennan County Fugitive Apprehension and Special Task (FAST) Unit and Falls County Sheriff's Office for executing the arrest warrant and the capture of a well-known felon in East Waco Monday night in connection to the shooting in Falls County." He said in a Facebook post this morning. "Your efforts in police excellence will never be forgotten."
