Shooting sends two to hospital

Marlin High School was locked down briefly Thursday while police investigated a shooting nearby the campus at 1400 Capps St.

The shooting did not happen on Marlin ISD property. The lockdown lasted for about 15 minutes.

Marlin Police Department said officers were sent at around 12:50 p.m.to the 500 block of Clark Street in response to a report of a shooting.

A short time later, officers learned two shooting victims had arrived at a hospital.

Their wounds were not life threatening, police said, and both were treated and later released.

Falls County deputies were able to find one suspect, who was taken into custody without incident.
