St. Paul Renovations

The St. Paul United Church of Christ has made additional headway on their restoration project with the addition of a new roof. The Deutsche Evangelische Lutherische St. Paul Gemeinde was dedicated near Marlin, Texas in the 1800s and the surrounding community soon became known as St. Paul. After the original church was damaged by lightning, age,and decay, members decided to build a new church. “Although we still have a long way to go, our restoration project thus far has been a tremendous success and we are encouraged and uplifted by the outpouring of support we have received,” says their website. “It has been a blessing to hear from so many old and new friends alike who share our dream of saving our beacon on the hill for future generations.”
