Texas’s Largest Ambulance Provider Now Responding to Calls in Falls County
(MARLIN, Texas) – American Medical Response, Texas’s and the nation’s leading provider of medical transportation services, began operations in Falls County this month. On June 1, AMR assumed the contracts that the previous provider had with Falls County’s three emergency services districts.
AMR’s Falls County staffing includes one ambulance 24 hours a day and a second ambulance during peak hours. Backup resources from AMR’s operations in McLennan, Bell, and Milam Counties can be quickly diverted to Falls County, if needed.
“When a person suffers a heart attack, stroke, or serious traumatic injuries, every minute matters. It’s important to get these types of patients to acute care hospitals as quickly as possible,” said Robert Saunders, regional director with AMR’s parent company, Global Medical Response. “Because of our large footprint in central Texas, AMR can offer unparalleled service to Falls County – even during periods of high demand. AMR also will participate in the county’s emergency planning initiatives, provide residents with interfacility ambulance transportation, and offer medical standby service at special events and mass gatherings.
