TWO MORE COVID CASES

A statement from Falls County

(Falls County, Texas) 27 April 2020-
To all Falls County Residents,
As of Monday, April 27, 2020, Falls County has two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and one fully recovered case. This is significantly lower than the surrounding counties. With this in mind, I still strongly encourage you to continue following the guidelines recommended by the Texas Department of State Health Services (www.dshs.texas.gov) to help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

  • Wash hands often for 20 seconds and encourage others to do the same.
  • If no soap and water are available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue away.
  • Disinfect surfaces, buttons, handles, knobs, and other places touched often.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Practice social distancing by avoiding crowds, minimizing physical contact, and staying at least six feet away from others.

I am making every effort as our Falls County Judge to keep our county functioning and safe. We have taken numerous measures at the Courthouse Annex to protect our employees and citizens. While the Courthouse Annex is closed to the public, all offices are available by phone or by appointment only. The office numbers are posted on the outside of the Courthouse Annex or on the Falls County website (www.co.falls.tx.us).
I would like to thank the communities within Falls County. You have shown great support and dedication to one another in these unprecedented times. Keeping our families and friends safe from spreading this virus wouldn't be possible without the people of our County working together as well as the dedication of the employees of our essential businesses.
