What a difference a day can make

Counting down to the Christmas holiday, Faith, Hope and Charity (FHC) made the season bright for all ages.

A jacket and coat giveaway made it possible to assist those in need of warm outerwear. Many of the donations were on behalf of the BTW Alumni Dallas Chapter. FHC $10 Recipe Books were also on site for sale.

Thirty-four blankets were presented to the Golden Years Care & Rehab Retirement Home for its residents and were greatly appreciated. Three local families were recipients of an abundantly blessed food basket.

“My goal is to show love and let families know God’s got all of us” stated Shirley King, FHC Director.

Students of the Faith, Hope and Charity after school program were surprised as they prepared for the last day of school only to discover volunteer workers dressed as waiters to serve a three-course meal instead of a snack. The students applied table manners as they enjoyed the dinner.

As the evening ended with the singing of Christmas carols, amazed, the students received an early visit from Santa. Photos were taken and personalized gifts bags were available for each student.

Faith, Hope, and Charity is a 501(c)(3) faith-based, non-profit organization dedicated to serving local youth and resource center for needy citizens of Marlin. Donations are always welcomed and will be used to continue the mission of FHC.  For more info, visit the website: fhcnonprofit.com.
