Winter Storm Workshop

The City of Marlin held a workshop to inform the community on the opportunities available to residents who were impacted by the winter storm. “Approved or denied, take advantage of it because it’s for you,” said Mayor Carolyn Lofton. “That’s what our government is supposed to do, take care of us when we need it. And right now we need it so please take advantage of the assistance.” Residents who request this help can receive $500 or more on a case-by-case basis. Residents can access the application and request aid at ww.disasterassistance.gov. FEMA funds must be used for their intended disaster help if granted.
