Would you like to be a volunteer, mentor for Faith, Hope and Charity?

Do you want to stand out like a shining beacon of hope? Are you passionate about helping children increase their academic achievements? Would you like to mentor/help guide a child? Do you understand that children are our future? Are you trying to find  ways to help make the world a better place? Do you believe that prayer change things?

If your answer is yes to all of the above, you might want to become a volunteer/ mentor/prayer warrior for Faith. Hope and Charity (FHC).

FHC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization which has been active in the Marlin, Texas community since 1992. We provide after school care for Pre-K through 5th grade students. Our services are completely free to children and their families.

The services we currently provide include after-school care, tutoring, a hot meal and a snack, school supplies, education sessions, spiritual awareness sessions, outdoor recreation, and community involvement. No one in our organization gets a salary. We have no paid staff, only volunteers. This is a great commentary on the dedication and love that others in this community also have for the children of our community.

We manage to provide our services through donations from local churches and  individuals. This has been a daunting task, given that our community is small - less than 7,000 - and does not have a large economic base. Falls County is one of the  poorest counties in the State of Texas. There is such a need for our services.

If you are interested in joining us for the upcoming Fall 2022 - Spring 2023 school year, please contact Shirley Piper at (254) 252-0218 or (254) 644-0296 to discuss what we can accomplish together.
