Neva Toler

Neva Florence Killough Toler was born in Cisco, Texas, January 10, 1921, to Samuel B. and Lillie Mae Killough. The family moved to Marlin during the Great Depression where she met her husband to be, Ralph V. Toler. They were married in December 1938 and moved to Detroit, Michigan where they remained until the end of WWII. They lived in Freeport, Texas for a year and then moved back to Marlin where they remained until 1967. She also lived in Lubbock, Bryan, Livingston, and Grandbury. She was a registered nurse, an avid knitter, known affectionately to the family as the “weather lady”, and a Christian.

She is survived by her son, Ray and Michaeleen Toler, three grandsons: Ray, Jr and Mary Toler, Eric and Fawne Toler, and Bryan and Julie Toler; granddaughters: Holly and Ron Gonzalez, and Mikey and Charlie Rollins. She was so very proud of her 15 great grandchildren: Jade, Luke, Meghan, Adia, Maddie, London, Jordan, Jake, Ethan, Caden, Ivy, Braiden, Kai, Taylor, and Dexter, and great great grandson Drew. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph, daughter-in-law, Catherine Toler, and great grandson Eric (Drew) Toler.

Neva stepped into the presence of her Creator and Redeemer on February 22, 2017; she was ninety-six years old.

Funeral services were at Adams Funeral Home, Marlin, on Monday, 27 February, at 1PM.
