George Lawson Harlan

Mr. George Lawson Harlan met our Father and Saviour Friday, July 7, 2017. Memorial service was held Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 1pm at First Baptist Church in Marlin. Mr. Harlan was born January 23, 1935 to George W. (Bumps) Harlan and JoAnn (Mackey) in Blueridge. George served in the United States Air Force at Lackland and Randolph AFB in San Antonio, Texas. He loved to build cars from scratch and race them. Mr. Harlan was a prominent businessman in agriculture. Throughout his life he displayed extraordinary strength and perseverance. He was preceded in death by his wife of 25 years, Donna Harlan; parents, and sister, Josephine Lloyd; brother, Zill Harlan. George is survived by daughters, Cynthia Falco of League City, Deborah Ownby of Cypress, and Lisa Roppolo of Georgetown; sonin- laws, Nunzio Falco, Sam Ownby and Nathan Roppolo; grandchildren: Elysia Johnson, Michelle Taylor, Anthony J. Falco III, Natalie Tomas, Victoria Butzke, and Brian Roppolo; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Harlan; 3 nephews and 2 nieces. Services were under the direction of Adams Funeral Home in Marlin, Texas.
