After summertime break, Vendors Market makes welcomed return

After taking a brief couple of months off due to the extreme Texas summer heat, everyone’s favorite monthly shopping spot is making its return.

The Marlin Vendors Market will be making its long awaited return on Saturday, September 2, right out front of the Falls County Courthouse where they will continue to be for the next several months, depending on the weather conditions.

For the better part of the year the Vendors Market will be open and available to the public on the first Saturday of every month except for their November market which will be scheduled for the second Saturday, November 9, due to the sale in Rosebud.

It will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on those Saturdays.

If you are not familiar with the Marlin Vendors Market it is typically made up of vendors who are selling handmade and crafted items.

Such as blanket, jewelry, candles, decorations for the house, etc.

Earlier this year, there was even a vendor who for the first time since the beginning of the Marlin Vendors Market sold freshly picked vegetables straight from the garden and anyone is welcome to become a vendor at the market as long as you can furnish your own tables, chairs and e-z up.

JoeAnn Kalmbach, Pattie Pletzke and Terri Westmoreland are just a few who work very hard to organize the market every month.

They feel that this is just a small way to help the community of Marlin come together as one.

Also, holiday season is just around the corner at this point in time.

So it may not be a bad idea to get a jump-start on some holiday shopping.
