Raymond C. Smith, 90, of Marlin, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 in a local hospital. The family received friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the funeral home. Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Adams Funeral Home with Father Ron Feather officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with Military Honors provided by Fort Hood Honor Guard. Mr. Smith was born on February 11, 1927 in Waco, Texas to Curtis and Emma Smith. He served his country in the United States Army during WW II; he served for over 31 years in the military. Mr. Smith retired from Easter’s Body Shop and loved working on cars. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis and Emma Smith; 6 brothers, 3 sisters and his son, Raymond Smith, Jr. Survivors include his wife, Sipriana Smith; daughters, Lupe Alaman and husband, Sam, Carmen Salas and Glenda Harvey Luke and husband, Loren; son, Roy Smith; brother, Paul Smith; sister, Susie Smith; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
