Several new faces win spots in election

Marlin citizens voted for a new direction on May 4, putting a new mayor and several new councilmembers on the City Council.
Carolyn R. Lofton won the mayor’s election with 53.35 percent of the vote. She got 334 votes. John Keefer got 240 votes. Pat Hollins got 52 votes. There were 626 votes cast in the mayoral election.
