Big Food Giveaway

Rev. Eddie Ellis, with St. Paul A.M.E. Church and Pastor Robert Smith, with River of Life in Fairfield, started planning and organizing for the big food give away back in November 2018. It was a huge task, but the two men, with help, managed to feed over 3,500 families on Saturday, June 22. Cars were lined up for miles on both sides of the field waiting as four semi-trucks and a bobtail brought in and unloaded food. Each truck was packed full with fresh vegetables, fruits, breads, meat, and ice cream. The food was donated by Caritas of Waco and several big grocery stores like HEB.
