Jose Zarazua

August 30, 1936 - October 21, 2020

Jose Zarazua, 84, passed away October 21, 2020 in Waco, Texas. Jose was born August 30, 1936 to Enrique Zarazau and Luce Guevara in Mumford, Texas.

His parents preceded him in death, alongwith his wife, Theresa, and brothers Henry, Paul and Zeferino.

Jose is survived by his sons, Zeke and his wife Li, as well as Bennie and his wife Lily; sister Jamie and Husband Rev. Joel Davila; brother Cornelio and his wife Betty; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

He has a lot of nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him very much.

Jose was a member of the Spanish Assembly of God in Marlin, where he played the guitar for many years and in turn inspired many of the  young people there to learn to play the guitar.

He worked at several gas stations in town where he was so well liked for his friendly and loving attitude. He was the best Service Attendant there was, the best. He was an honest and great man of God who was good at what he did.

Jose loved his sons and grandchildren. Some of his nieces and nephews can tell you how many times he took them out to eat or gave them lunch money for school.

He was a giving, kind person who loved to dress up and look his best. In fact, Jose never left the house untidy. He loved both the Cowboys and the Marlin Bulldogs.

Jose had many friends.

Graveside Services were held Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Hillcrest Cemetery officiated by Pastor James Archuleta.

Visitation was Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Primera Iglesia Bautista 104 Lakeview in Marlin, Texas from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.
