Bulldogs top Bremond

The Marlin Bulldogs toped the Bremond Tigers 45-30 and the Lady Bulldogs fell to Bremond 31-25 on Jan. 19.

The Marlin Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs basketball teams played in Bremond on Wednesday, Jan. 19. They were originally scheduled to play on Tuesday against Wortham in Marlin but the game had to be rescheduled due to unknown reasons for Wortham. So they went on the road to take on the Bremond Tigers and Tigresses. 

The Lady Bulldogs fell to the Tigresses in a close defensive game 31-25. Alisha Williams scored seven points and also had a steal. Aaryah Johnson scored four points but was great on defense with three blocks and four steals. Shawna Robinson scored eight points and also recorded four steals and an assist. 

The Bulldogs defeated the Tigers 45-30 in a game where they pulled away in the third quarter. After an even first half the Bulldogs outscored Bremond 24-12 in the second half. 

The Marlin boys and girls teams will head out to Mart tonight.
