Marlin VFD responds to four crashes in quick succession
The Marlin Volunteer Fire Department responded to four separate traffic accidents on Sunday, all occurring in quick succession across Falls County.
The first incident took place on State Highway 7 east of and involved a single vehicle. Responders reported only minor injuries at the scene.
Shortly afterward, a twovehicle collision occurred on FM 147. That crash required the use of the Jaws of Life to extricate an occupant, with injuries reported.
Two additional accidents were reported on State Highway 6, prompting a swift and coordinated response. Thanks to multiple Marlin VFD stations located along Highway 6, the department was able to respond to all four emergencies without delay.
Traffic control arrow boards were deployed successfully on two of the scenes, improving safety and visibility for responders and motorists on both Highway 6 and Highway 7.
Other agencies assisting in the response included the Texas Department of Public Safety, Falls County Sheriff’s Office, Falls County Constable Precinct 1, City Ambulance, Richard Johnson’s Autos Unlimited, and Hogg Automotive Towing.
