Day of Fun at Family Play Day in Marlin
Families across Marlin gathered on Saturday, September 27, for a joyful and meaningful Family Play Day, hosted at Faith, Hope & Charity (FHC), 405 E First St., Marlin. The event ran from 9 AM to 2 PM and brought together community members for a day of food, fun, and family-focused activities.
Children and adults alike enjoyed a variety of free activities, including: Food Distribution Gift Drawings Free Hot Dogs, Drinks & Chips A Bounce House Face Painting Games In addition to the festivities, the event highlighted FHC’s ongoing mission to serve the community. FHC regularly distributes food where it is needed, supporting local families through consistent and compassionate outreach.
In the background of Family Play Day, a new project is taking root— Texas A&M is working with FHC to create a community garden, which will help provide fresh produce and educational opportunities for local residents. The garden initiative is part of a broader effort to promote sustainability, nutrition, and community involvement.
The event was made possible through the generous support of sponsors and partners, including H-E-B, Walmart, McCoy’s, Brookshire Brothers, The Dollar Store, CVS, and many more. Local organizations like WIC and Heart of Texas Goodwill Industries also contributed their services and presence.
Family Play Day served not only as a celebration but also as a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when a community comes together to support one another.
