BTW Alumni Association Elects New Administration
The National Booker T. Washington (BTW) Alumni & Ex-Students Association met Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Alumni building, with National President Kathyrn Lynn presiding. Opening prayer was offered by Rev. Ethelene Green.
A special marketing presentation was made by Pride Property Management, LLC. The proposal would cover the entire management of the building and overall daily expenses. No action was taken.
In the absence of the Treasurer, Billy Lawton, Chief Financial Officer, offered a financial Yearly Comparison Report for the last three years of the current administration. Building updates were initiated by Andrew McDonald and members present. Flooring, wall treatments, lighting, class banners, building maintenance and fundraisers were discussed.
Jacquelyn Williams, Nominating Committee Chr., acknowledged members of the committee who were a tremendous help with the election process. The voting procedure was explained. Voting was made available both virtually and in-person ballot. On behalf of the BTW Alumni Association, Billy Lawson presented outgoing President Kathyrn Lynn Pickleball Paddles- set of 4 and her personal Pickleball paddle and personalized sling bag.
Debra Trotter, JP Pct 2, installed the 2025-2028 National administration: Felicia Johnson, President, Rhonda Milton, Vice President, Deandrea Petty, Secretary, Elizabeth Richardson, Treasurer, Herman Bell, Chief Financial Officer. Bell was not in attendance, however, his aunt, Lois Paul, stood in his absence. Remaining in position are Marjorie Grayson Sharp, Asst. Recording Secretary, Rev. Rayford Bulter, Chaplain, and Michael Pierce, Historian. Closing prayer was offered by Rev. Ethelene Green. The meeting adjourned at 1 pm followed with refreshments.
