The Cauldron is Bubbling with Football Playoffs

Hello Sports Fans!

Well, this is my swan song – the season is all but wrapped up and I’m about due to hit the hibernation lair again. I’d say see you in the spring, but that’s only when I peek out to see what the teams look like during spring football. I’ll plan on being back in the fall, but then again, who knows what’s in store for bubbling cauldrons!

Let’s review where things wrapped up with just a couple of games left.

Overall, I finished up at 22-9 – so even if I blow all three games this week, that’s 22-12. Of course it’s far more likely I’ll finish 25-9. Just saying.

As for the schools, I correctly picked Cameron, Thorndale and rosebud-Lott games six out of eight times and Marlin five out of eight.

Marlin at Mason

The season officially wraps up this week at the tough Punchers of Mason.

Wish I could tell the 2-8 Bulldogs that they were going to go out on a high note, but it doesn’t look promising. Mason is 7-3 and won District 14-2A with a perfect mark. Take Mason by four scores.

Moody at Thorndale

The 7-3 Bulldogs will move to 8-3 with a lopsided victory over Moody this week. I’d say by two scores, but it’s likely to be more like three or four.

Way to go Thorndale! It’s been a heck of a season!

San Saba at Rosebud- Lott

A good opponent for the season finale, RL comes up big and rolls to a lopsided victory!
