Barrels of Hope Food Drive

When disaster strikes, compassion must move faster than the storm. The Myers Gardere International Foundation, in partnership with Openfire International Fellowship Church, has launched the “Barrels of Hope” Canned Food and other Non-Perishable Food to provide urgent food relief for families in Jamaica impacted by Hurricane Melissa.

“As a daughter of Jamaica, this disaster hits close to home,” said Nicola Myers Gardere, Founder and Executive Director of the Myers Gardere International Foundation. “These barrels are more than food, they are a message of hope. They tell our brothers and sisters in Jamaica that they are not forgotten.”

Hurricane Melissa has left many families without homes or food. The Foundation’s goal is simple: fill barrels with canned food and other nonperishable food that will be shipped directly to affected communities in Jamaica.
