Marlin Players Selected to District 13-2A, DI All-District Football Team
Great day for Marlin Bulldog varsity football players, as many were selected to the 13-2A, DI All-District football team.
The Bulldog’s defensive tackle, Bryson Steele, received one of the district’s top honors, as he was selected Defensive MVP.
Bryson Steele – a senior at Marlin High School – was also selected a couple of days ago to play in this year’s America’s Biggest in Football Bowl Game (aka U.S. Army All-American Bowl), that was to be played December 21, 2025, at The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco.
Joining Steele on the All-District team were De’Angelo Wright, and Daniel Vallecillos. Both were selected to the Offense 1st Team.
Second Team Offense honors went to Jaden Ray, and Dai’Viyon Evans.
Defensive 1st Team All-District honors went to Ivan Ricks, D’Arie Johnson, and Jaden Ray.
Second Team Defense awards went to Kieran Butler, Daniel Vallecillos, and Keyshaun Massington.
Honorable Mention went to Kenyen Trotter, Danique Benjamin, George King, and D’Mariion Butler.
This young Marlin team got off to a tough start this past season, but two key wins in district play helped the Bulldogs to the No. 4 playoff seed where they completed the season as a bi-district finalist. Lots of juniors returning for next year, so look for Marlin to push higher in the district standings.
