Falls Co. Food Spots: Divine Brew & Bites
Editor’s Note: I am eagerly starting the task of eating through all the local, non-fast-food eateries in Falls County, as part of my goal to get more familiar with the area. I’ve started compiling a list of places to visit, but please, feel free and encouraged to email me at publisher@ marlindemocrat. com with restaurant suggestions, and your favorite menu items! I plan to rotate between Marlin, Rosebud, and other places in the county, highlighting one location per week until I’ve tried them all.
I visited Divine Brew & Bites in Lott on Friday, Jan. 16 for breakfast! Here’s my order: A 24 oz Blended Chai ($8) A bacon egg and cheese croissant ($5) A Cinnamon Toast Crunch cake pop ($3) Ruby took my order and served my breakfast, and was conversational and kind. Her sister, Julia Coronado, opened the business in July 2025, buying the space that formerly housed Jessie’s Place and adding her own touches.
The blended chai tasted of chai, cinnamon and pure comfort- a very cozy and subtly sweet experience.
The bacon egg and cheese croissant, which I took to the office to eat while I worked on writing articles, was deliciousmelty cheese softening the crunch of the bacon inside the soft and tasty croissant.
The Cinnamon Toast Crunch cake pop I saved for later in the day, and I took extra care to keep it out of my kids’ eyesight, as I didn’t go to kindergarten so I never learned to share properly. It was almost overwhelmingly sweet, but in the best way. Again the cinnamon taste came through strong and added nuance to the flavor of the melt-in-your-mouth treat.
Divine Brew & Bites is open Tuesday - Friday 6 am - 3 pm; and Saturdays 7 am - 2 pm. Though their breakfast menu is fixed, their lunch menu changes week to week and is updated on their Facebook page.
I’ll be sure to stop back by for lunch one day- their lunch items frequently sell out. Do you have a favorite lunch special?
Happy eating!
