Vanessa Dodd Announces Candidacy for Falls County Clerk

Falls County voters will soon get the opportunity to choose strong, experienced leadership in the upcoming Republican Primary Election.

My name is Vanessa L. Dodd, and I am proudly announcing my candidacy for Falls County Clerk. Since launching my campaign January 3, 2026, I have been blessed with support, encouragement, negativity and challenges. Each day gives me the determination to run for what I believe in and why I want to serve our county even more.

I have proudly called Falls County home since 2021. Over the past several years, I have had the privilege of serving our community as a Deputy Clerk II, a position I have held for nearly three years. Through this role, I have gained hands-on experience in the daily operations of the County Clerk’s Office and developed a deep understanding of the responsibilities that come with this important position.

The County Clerk serves as the county’s primary record keeper, a role essential to preserving the legal and historical foundation of Falls County. The office is responsible for recording, maintaining, and providing public access to vital records such as property deeds, court filings, birth and death certificates, marriage licenses, assumed business names (DBAs), brands, and other official documents. These records are critical to protecting property rights, ensuring legal accountability, and maintaining public trust.

Through my duties in the County Clerk’s Office, I have seen firsthand how important accuracy, security, and organization are to this role. Every document and every record represents someone’s livelihood, family, or future. I am committed to upholding the highest standards of transparency and integrity while ensuring records are protected and easily accessible to the public.

I also understand the challenges residents face when visiting the courthouse. Taking time away from work, school, or family responsibilities is not always easy. Citizens deserve efficient service, clear communication, and respectful treatment every time they walk through our doors. Public service should reflect courtesy, professionalism, and a genuine desire to help.

If elected, I will work to keep a welcoming environment where every resident feels valued and supported while conducting important personal and legal business. I believe government offices should operate efficiently while remaining approachable and community focused. As well as commending the team that works hard to reflect these values and standards we instill as a leader. Consistency is one of many keys to building trust.

As a Republican, I believe in accountability, conservative values, and service-driven leadership. Falls County deserves officials who are committed to responsible governance and who treat every taxpayer with respect. I am ready to bring my experience, work ethic, and dedication to the role of County Clerk.

I am kindly asking for your vote in the March Republican Primary as we work together to protect the integrity of this vital office and ensure it continues to serve our community with professionalism and respect.
