Basketball Weekly for Central Region

District play for basketball is in full swing this semester. The second round of district play is beginning for some districts, which means that the playoffs are just around the corner.

Cameron

The Yoemen (10-11, 22) fell to Lexington 46-37 on Friday night, Jan. 16.

The Lady Yoe (11-14, 06) lost to Lexington on Friday night 43-33.

Cameron played Rockdale on Tuesday, Jan. 20. They will host Academy on Friday, Jan. 23, before traveling to Franklin next Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Thorndale

The Bulldogs (19-4, 4--0) went 2-0 this past week. They knocked-off Granger 52-31 and Holland 70-22.

The Lady Bulldogs (1613, 3-3) lost to Granger 5028 and Holland 29-24 this past week.

Thorndale played Bartlett on Tuesday, Jan. 20. They will travel to Milano on Friday, Jan. 23, before hosting Rosebud-Lott next Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Milano

The Eagles (2-12, 1-3) lost to the Rosebud-Lott Eagles on Friday night, Jan. 16, 57-37.

The Lady Eagles (4-23, 1-5) fell to Rosebud-Lott 50-28 on Friday night.

Milano played McDade on Tuesday, Jan. 20. They will host Thorndale on Friday, Jan. 23, before traveling to Granger next Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Rosebud-Lott

The Cougars (14-8, 2-2) defeated Milano on Friday night 57-37.

The Lady Cougars (1410, 3-2) defeated Milano 50-28 on Friday night.

Rosebud-Lott was scheduled to play Bartlett this past Tuesday, Jan. 13, but the game was postponed due to illness.

Rosebud-Lott had a bye on Tuesday, Jan. 20. They will host McDade on Friday, Jan. 23, before traveling to Thorndale next Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Marlin

The Bulldogs (8-16, 40) defeated Chilton 46-31 and Mart 49-29 this past week.

The Lady Bulldogs (169, 6-0) beat Chilton 64-54 on Tuesday night and Mart 42-37 on Friday night.

Marlin played Moody on Tuesday night, Jan. 20. They will travel to Bruceville-Eddy on Friday night, Jan. 23, before having a bye next Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Chilton

The Pirates (6-8, 3-2) went 1-1 on the week. They fell to Marlin 46-31 and then defeated Riesel 57-12.

The Lady Pirates (1710, 4-2) lost to Marlin 6454 and beat Riesel 66-55 this past week.

Chilton played Axtell on Tuesday, Jan. 20. They have a bye on Friday night, Jan. 23, will host Mart next Tuesday, Jan. 27.
