Falls County Voters Cast Ballots in 2026 Primary Elections
Polls are closed, votes have been recorded, and unofficial results are now available! Falls County voters cast 2,628 ballots in the Republican and Democratic primary elections, representing 24.86% of the county’s 10,570 voters. Early voting accounted for 1,091 ballots.
LOCAL POSITIONS (Republican Primary)
Several county races featured one-on-one matchups, resulting in tight races and slim margins.
For Republican County Chair, Bill Range garnered 833 votes while Elizabeth Nelson garnered 770; his 51.97% edging ahead of her 48.03% for the win.
In the race for County Clerk, Elizabeth Coker-Perez received 994 votes or 58.85% to Vanessa L. Dodd’s 695 votes or 41.15%.
For Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace, Kaylah Rosas secured 213 votes or 52.85% to beat Alexis Parsons, who received 190 votes, or 47.15%.
For Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace, Sarah Funderburk beat out James “Roy” Jackson, receiving 161 votes to his 109 votes, 59.63% to 40.37%.
For Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace, Martha Westerman’s 359 votes or 64.80% trumped Mike Giles’ 195 votes or 35.20%.
In the Precinct 4 County Commissioner race, Nita Wuebker secured 233 votes, or 43.63%, and was defeated by Rodney Hall, who secured 301 votes or 56.37%.
Uncontested county races included County Judge, Jay T Elliot; District Clerk, Laurie Reneau Smith; County Treasurer, Sheryl Odenbach Pringle; and Precinct 2 County Commissioner, David Fitz. (Fitz will face democratic candidate F.A. Green Sr. for the seat in the general election slated for November. Green was the lone county candidate on the democratic ballot.)
