Moving Forward Together for Rural Texas

The votes have been counted, and I want to begin with two simple words: thank you.

Thank you to the people of House District 13 for your prayers, your support, and your confidence. I am deeply honored that you have entrusted me to continue serving as your State Representative.

Campaign seasons can be busy and challenging, but one thing that never changes is how grateful I am for the people who call this district home. Whether you supported me, supported someone else, or simply took the time to vote, thank you for participating in the election process. Our republic only works when citizens are engaged, and I respect every voter who showed up to make their voice heard.

Throughout the campaign, there was a lot said, a lot debated, and certainly a lot of noise. But what stood out to me the most was the resolve of rural Texans to tune out the distractions and focus on what matters: strong conservative leadership, protecting our communities, and making sure rural Texas continues to have a seat at the table.

That mission is exactly why I first ran for office, and it remains my commitment today.

One thing I was especially proud of during this campaign was hosting Governor Greg Abbott in our community twice in the last two months. His visits highlighted the importance of the issues facing House District 13 and the role rural Texas plays in shaping the future of our state. We have a seat at the table.

And I intend to keep it that way.

As we begin preparing for the 90th Legislative Session, there are major issues on the horizon that will shape the future of our state and our communities. Protecting rural water resources, eliminating school property taxes, strengthening our education system, banning Sharia Law, and ensuring Texas continues to lead the nation are just some of many priorities I will be working on.

But good representation doesn’t happen in Austin alone. It happens through communication and partnership with the people back home.

One of my goals over the next year is to make it easier than ever for constituents to stay informed and involved in what’s happening at the Texas Capitol. In the coming weeks and months, I will be sharing more updates, hosting conversations, and creating new ways for you to follow the work being done on your behalf.

That includes continuing to publish these weekly columns so you can stay connected to what is happening in Austin. Because serving you is not something I only think about during a campaign. It is something I work on every single day.

And if you ever have questions — about something you heard during the campaign, an issue facing your community, or legislation being discussed in Austin — please reach out. My office is always happy to help. Your input matters, and your voice is important.

The road to the 90th Legislative Session begins now, and I am honored to continue walking it alongside the people of House District 13.

Together, we will keep rural Texas strong.

And together, we will keep rural Texas at the table.
