A.L. “Jack Kunze

A.L. “Jack” Kunze, 80, of Marlin, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2016 in a Waco hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, December 19, 2016 at Saint John’s UCC in Otto with the Reverend Larry Felice officiating, Interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Sunday, December 18 at Adams funeral Home in Marlin. Mr. Kunze was born on February 6, 1936 in Blevins, Texas to Oswald and Meta (Behnke) Kunze. He married Corrine Grochoske on November 6, 1982 in Marlin, Texas and they celebrated over 33 wonderful years together until her death on January 30, 2015. Mr. Kunze was an avid gun collector; he loved to go hunting, fishing and tell stories. He served Falls County as a Constable and retired as a Falls County Deputy Sherriff. Mr. Kunze was an active member of Saint John’s UCC in Otto where he served on the Church board for several years. His parents; wife, Corrine Kunze; brothers, Clarence Kunze, Bill Kunze, Ben Kunze, Dick Kunze and Rueben Kunze and a sister, Lorrine Nehring, preceded him in death. Survivors include his sisters-in-laws, Ruth Temples of Hewitt, Texas and Annie Mae Kunze of Taylor, Texas, his extended family and dear friends.
