Annie Ruth (Anne) passed away on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. She was born in Lott, Texas on September 12, 1940 sharing the same birthday as her beloved mother, Annie Mae.

Anne graduated Lott High School in 1958 and earned her Beautician’s certificate in 1960. She was married to William (Bill) Bottenfield in 1964 until his death in 1998.

Anne and Bill had one child, William (Billy) Todd Bottenfield born in 1980. Billy died in 2001.

She was a long time resident of Marlin and worked for more than 20 years at the Marlin High School in the school cafeteria.

Good-bye to one of the dearest, sweetest, and funniest people we’ve ever known. It was a joy to see the smiles that broke out in a room when you came through the door. Your example of faith, strength and laughter helped many of us through our own difficult times.

We know you’re in a better place now where you can visit all day and dance all night, eat all the candy you want (and not gain weight), wear a different pair of shoes every day and night for all eternity (for your new, small feet), and continue your most important work of loving everyone you meet and making them feel special (particularly children and small animals).

We love you so much and always will.

Anne is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and their children in Pennsylvania, Texas, and New Mexico (to name a few).

Thanks go out to the many friends and family that made Anne’s life so rich. Especially the Lynch family of Waco and Robinson. Their care and love of Anne, especially over the last few years, was a great comfort to her family.

Memorial Services will be held at Primrose Baptist Church in Robinson, Texas on Sunday, May 21 at 2:00p.m.

The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Providence Hospice in Waco who gave Anne the dignity, respect, and comfort she deserved in her final hours.
