Barbara D. (Bell) Booher

February 24, 1938 - November 4, 2020

Barbara D. (Bell) Booher, 82, of Marlin (formally of Rosebud) passed away on November 4, 2020 in Waco, Texas due to complications from Covid 19. Graveside service will be 2 pm, Sunday, November 8, 2020 in Powers Chapel Cemetery, with Jeff Watkins officiating. Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm, Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Adams Funeral Home. 

Barbara D. “DD”, was born on February 24, 1938 in Rosebud, Texas to Tom and Erma (Brown) Bell. She was a seamstress at Rosebud Dresses, Castro’s and Wolf Manufacturing until her retirement. After retirement, she helped raise many children including her grandchildren, Trey & Katlyn, and her Nephews, Gregory & Tyler and Niece Nicole, whom affectionately called her “D.D”. She was a heavy Dr. Pepper drinker and avid reader. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Debra Barnes, Stepdaughter Teresa Mitchell, Son In Law Gary Younger Jr., Brothers J.W. Bell, Harold Bell and James “Cotton” Bell.

Survivors include daughter Michelle Nutt and husband Russell, Step daughter Tina Fogle and husband Gary, Brothers George Bell and Kenneth Bell and wife Sandy, Sister Joyce Burks, Grandchildren Gary Younger III (Trey) and wife Skye, Katlyn Younger, Jacob Nutt and Blake Nutt, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. 

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Staff at Golden Years Nursing Home for their loving and compassionate care of our loved one.
