Cindy Douglas, 62, of Marlin, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2016 in a Waco hospital. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church with the Reverend Kurt Rutz officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 11th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin. Mrs. Douglas was born on December 23, 1953 in Brady, Texas to George and Jenelle (Womack) Cantrell. She married Terry Douglas on August 3, 1973 in Marlin and the celebrated over 43 wonderful years together. Cindy loved to do arts and crafts, she did everything including porcelain dolls, ceramics, stained glass, sewing, making quilts, making jewelry and her latest fun project was adult coloring books. She dedicated her life since she was 18 years old serving as a nurse; she has helped a lot of people. Mrs. Douglas was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Marlin. She was preceded in death by her parents brothers, Kenneth and Jim Cantrell and a son, Clint. Survivors include her husband, Terry Douglas; daughter, Vicki McLaughlin and her husband, Randy; several nieces and nephews and her beloved pet, Scooter. Earth has lost a sweet caring lady and Heaven has gained a great Angel. Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church, Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the Lupus Foundation.
