Cynthia M. Dees

Cynthia M. Dees, 64, of Marlin, entered into rest Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, May 1, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery officiated by Rev. Kurt Rutz. There will be a 1 hour visitation before the service at the Cemetery.
Cynthia was born on August 30, 1955 in Marlin, Texas to Edgar and Ella Mae Neumann. She loved her children and grandchildren. Cynthia collected elephants and had a passion for cooking and catering for her family and the community. Cynthia Neumann married the love of her life, John Dees on September 6, 1973. She graduated from Marlin High School in 1973. She began her career at Marlin National Bank.

Moved on to Torbett Hutchins Smith Hospital in the insurance department. After the birth of her three children she began a new career as a teacher and secretary at TCLC, of Grace Lutheran Church. Eventually retiring from the Marlin Chamber of Commerce.

Cynthia Dees was proceeded in death by her father, Edgar Walter Neumann.

She is survived by her mother, Ella Mae Neumann; sister, Linda Vanek; husband, John Dees of Marlin; daughter Melissa Witcher and husband Andy from Lampasas; son’s Matthew Dees and wife Trisha from Robinson, Texas, Mitchell Dees of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Brady, Hunter and Garrett Witcher, Witten, Walker and Waverly Dees, Caden and Caylee Miller; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
