Danny Earl Wooley

Danny Earl Wooley, 70, of Texas City passed away on Jan. 12, 2021.

Memorial services will be held at Chilton Cemetery on April 17, 2021, with Dr. Morgan Woodard officiating.

Danny was born on April 3, 1951, to Billy Gene Wooley and Mary Martin in Marlin. He married Barbara Wooley in Chilton on Oct. 7, 1978.

He grew up in Hitchcock and graduated from Hitchcock High School. He moved to Chilton in the 70’s.  He served as part of the Chilton Volunteer Fire Department. He managed the Martin’s Gas Station in Chilton for many years. He then moved back to the Galveston area and worked at the chemical plants until final retiring as a correctional officer for TDCJ. He loved fast cars and enjoyed

going to car shows.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wooley of Chilton; daughter, Kathy and husband Cody Wilton, and grandson, Heston Wilton, all of Marlin; son, Blake Wooley of Texas City; and only brother, Nicky Wooley and wife Debbie of Livingston

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Billy Gene Wooley; and his grandparents, Arnold and Lucille Martin.
