David Gene Lawson

David Gene Lawson was born on July 8, 1941 in Sikeston, Missouri and passed away on December 23, 2020 in Temple, Texas to Eugene and Gladys Lawson.

After graduating high school, he joined the United States Air Force where he was an aircraft mechanic. 

He married Barbara Lawson on October 17, 1959 before leaving Massachusets. The two went on to have 61 years of blissful marriage together, complete with the blessing of two daughters, Katy Chandler and Donna Richey.

David is survived by: his wife Barbara Lawson, of Lott; daughters Donna Richey and husband, Troy; and Katy Chandler and husband, James; four grandchildren Amand Mosby and husband, Josh; Tiffany Trevino and husband, Brian; Coy Chandler and wife, Keeley, Chelsey Thornton & husband, Colton; and seven great-grandchildren, Zooey Richey, Lawson Chandler, Ryder Trevino, Riggin Mosby, Weston Thornton, Everett Mosby, and Boone Chandler.

A graveside service was held at Carolina Cemetery on December 26, 2020. Adams Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
