David Janes Pyland

David Janes Pyland, 64, died Monday, June 28, 2018. David was born July 3, 1953 in Marlin to the late Lucy and Sam Pyland Sr. David graduated from Marlin High School. During high school he was awarded the BSA Life Saving Medal. He achieved this award by saving three elderly Marlin residents from drowning in the Marlin City Lake. David was a graduate of Sam Houston State University and a CPA. He is survived by his wife, Mira Pyland; two sons Matthew David Pyland and David Alexander Pyland; stepson, Adrian Mcintosh; two daughters, Leighann Stiverson and Amy Yessick; brother, Sam Pyland; and six grandchildren.
