David Martin Krause

The family made a point to list only the facts of his life in this obituary per his request.  However, it is easy to see that he loved life, family, being an Aggie , and God.  Gig ‘em!

David Martin Krause passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 from complications due to Parkinson’s Disease.  David was born on January 7, 1937 in Cameron, Texas to the late Felix A. Krause and Maureen Martin Krause.  He graduated from Rosebud high school in 1955 and went on to graduate from Texas A&M University with his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 1960.  David married Charlotte Faye Cowan of Lueders, Texas in 1965.  They settled in San Antonio and raised three children.  David was a devout catholic and a longtime member of St. Thomas More Catholic church.  He worked for State Farm insurance for more than 35 years and retired in 1999.  David enjoyed all sports.  He coached his kids when they were young in soccer and baseball .  He also officiated high school football and soccer.  He also loved gardening, hunting, collecting coins, attending mass, bird watching, walking in the woods, donating blood, doing service work,  telling Aggie jokes, and spending time with family.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Maureen Krause, his sisters Jackie Meek and Peggy Forest. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlotte Krause; his sister Judy Hagan of Waco, Texas;  his children Darren Krause of Live Oak, Texas,  Michele Sandefur of Copper Canyon, Texas, Stephanie McClellan of Schertz, Texas  and their   David did not want an obituary that made him out to be boastful and proud.  He was a humble, patient, and generous man and always proud of his small town roots.  The family made a point to list only the facts of his life in this obituary per his request.  However, it is easy to see that he loved life, family, being an Aggie , and God.  Gig ‘em!
