Doris J Basinger

Doris J Basinger, of Riesel, died January 15, 2021. Services will be held on Thursday, January. 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery with Pastor Craig Klempnauer officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m.  -8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Basinger was born April 21, 1930 in Thornton, Limestone County, TX to Raymond and Vida (Lloyd) Stroud. She was employed in the McLennon County Auditor’s office, Waco, for 27 ½ years before retiring in 1990. Before her marriage to Howard D Basinger on December 31, 1958, she enjoyed several years work at Southwestern Greyhound Lines Tour department in Dallas. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Beverly, and her parents. Survivors include her son Howard D Basinger Jr. and wife Linda, Tolar; grandchildren, Lawrence Ostwald and Ashley (Hering) Siepl and husband James, Riesel; great grandchildren, Malaylla Siepl, Riesel; many cousins, friends, and neighbors.
