Edward Andrew Tacker

Mr. Edward Andrew Tacker, age 76, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, in Waco.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, at Tacker-Long Family Cemetery with Mr. David Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin.

Edward was born on Aug. 8, 1945, to William and Eula Lucille (Ward) Tacker in Marlin. He married the love of his life, Carol Wiesch, on Aug. 25, 1991. He retired as a master plumber from Staas Plumbing. Edward enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, tinkering in his shop, and travelling to new places. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family, friends, and all his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol Tacker; sisters, Cleo Haley and Betsy Cogan; brother, Melvin Lee Tacker; daughter, Sherry Evon Matous; and stepdaughter, Betty Maddox.

Survivors include his son, Robert Andrew Tacker and stepchildren, Terrie Maddox of Temple, Carrie Young of Woodway, Joseph Maddox of New York; sister, Malcorine Drosche of Waco; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
