Elfreda (Toodie) Jahnke 

Elfreda (Toodie) Jahnke, 80, passed away Saturday, Aug. 3, 2019. 

Funeral services will be at 10 .m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Otto, Texas, with Reverend Felice officiating.  Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin.

Elfreda was born on Jan. 26, 1939, in Otto, Texas, to Oscar Hefelfinger Sr. and Freda Minnie (Pankonien) Hefelfinger. She attended school at Otto Elementary and then in Mart. Elfreda Hefelfinger married Charlie Jahnke at St. John’s United Church of Christ on July 6, 1957. She loved camping, working in her flower garden, baking, quilting, dancing and traveling, but her greatest interest was her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Preceding Elfreda in death were her parents; husband, Charlie Jahnke; daughter, Charlotte Whited; great- granddaughter, Kamryn Trevathan; and four sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include her brother, Marvin Hefelfinger; sons, Kenneth Jahnke and wife Debbie, and Dennis Jahnke and wife Denise; daughter, Teresa Jahnke; grandsons, Joshua Pace and wife Mandy, Chris Dodd and wife Jennifer, Evan Jahnke, Landon Jahnke and Hunter Jahnke; granddaughters, Kendall Trevathan and husband Keanon, Ashley Schrader and Hadley Jahnke; great-grandsons, Ethan Pace, Logan Pace, Kason Trevathan, Kristopher Dodd, Isaac Dodd and Brayden Dodd; great-granddaughters, Gianina Jahnke and Kaisley Trevathan.
