Ella Jewel Sandifer, 86, went home to be with her Lord on August 5, 2017. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, at Adams Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow the service at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 7, at the funeral home. Ella was born in Boon Prairie, Texas to Ira and Georgia (Morehead) Ware. She married the love of her life, Dilton Sandifer on October 19, 1947. Ella loved the Lord and was a founding and longtime member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church on Williams Road in Bellmead. She was a kind soul who made anyone feel welcome and cared for. Anytime someone was hungry she welcomed them with a warm meal. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. Ella had an infectious laugh and was very witty. If you needed a pick me up Ella was the cure. Ella was always there with a encouraging word. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Georgia (Morehead) Ware; her husband of 58 years, Dilton Sandifer; brothers, Henry Ware and Ira Ware; sister, Mildred Twigg. Survivors include her children, Joe Sandifer and wife, Ann and Vicki Freeman and husband, Kenneth; grandchildren, Jason Sandifer, Jeff Freeman and wife, Christy, Amanda Johnson and husband, Nathan, and Clay Freeman and wife, Lori; great-grandchildren, Kolton Freeman, Hannah Vasser, Abigail Vasser, Kaylee Freeman, Emily Johnson, and Dilton Johnson. She is also survived by her sister, Dorothy Smith and Larry Ware and wife, Susan.
