Evelyn (Alford) Vandiver

Evelyn Vandiver, 98, of Kosse, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2020 in Temple. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Monday, March 9, 2020 in Kosse Cemetery.

Mrs. Vandiver was born on November 22, 1921 in Limestone County to Luther and Katie (Henderson) Alford. She married Joseph L. Vandiver and they celebrated over 50 wonderful years together until his death on August 20, 1998. Mrs. Vandiver was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kosse and loved working in her garden and cooking but her true love was her family; she really enjoyed arguing with her son. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister; Elona (Sue) Sharp, brother; Fraymon Alford and Son; Louis Vandiver.

Survivors include her son; Robert Randoll Vandiver and his wife, Normenia, sister; Katie Ruth Null, 3 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
