Gene Edward Drosche

81, of Marlin, Texas passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 with his family by his side. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, July 6, 2018 at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco. Burial will follow at Tacker-Long Cemetery near Marlin, Texas. The family will receive visitors 6 – 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 5th at the funeral home.
Gene was born in Bruceville-Eddy on October 26, 1936 to the late John and Edna Drosche. He had six siblings, Patsy Swindler, Helen Ihlenfeldt, Maxine Canterbury (deceased), Wayne Drosche (deceased), Cecil Drosche (deceased) and John R. Drosche infant (deceased). Gene retired from Lehigh Portland Cement Plant after 30 years. He was in the Texas National Guard for 10 years.
Gene was a devoted father and Pawpaw, who loved his family with all his heart. He loved get togethers and the holidays when the family would eat and play dominoes, and he LOVED to win. Gene was looking forward to Thanksgiving for Pattie’s pecan pie.
Gene is survived by his wife of 60 years, Malcorine Tacker Drosche; his four children, Malinda Drosche Miller and husband Jeffrey of York, PA, William Drosche and wife Pattie of Robinson, TX, John Drosche and wife Donna of Wharton, TX, and Darla Drosche of Lewisville, TX; ten grandchildren, Joseph Miller and wife Betsy, Natalie Miller, Garrison Drosche and wife Chelsi, Malley Drosche, John David Drosche (deceased), Justin Drosche, Sidney Ramirez and Josue, Mallory Landy, Marshall Dunn (deceased), and Tyler Dunn (deceased); seven great-grandchildren, Jackson Miller, Ethan Drosche, Evan Drosche, Joshua Ramirez, Emma Ramirez, Emily Ramirez, Joseph Ramirez; along will several nieces and nephews that he loved very much.
